  • Mobility Rule: Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before their date of recruitment. FAQ

Application Deadline: April, 30, 2025 (23:59 pm)

Application: You can apply to up to two research projects (please fill up an application form for each of them and indicate which other research project you applied for).

Applicants can apply worldwide (further restrictions depending on host institution).

Master Degree: You can apply if you will have certainly defended your master degree before the start of the project.

Visa Costs: Can be covered in case of successful selection.

Mobility Rule: If a researcher with a contract of more than 12 months in a country wishes to apply with an organisation in the same country, even if they have been physically present in the country for less than 12 months, he/she/they would not be eligible, as both the contract and physical presence are considered for the mobility rule.

Supervision

The students supervision and monitoring are built on three layers:

  1. day-to-day supervision by a teammate (typically a postdoctoral researcher),
  2. regular meetings with supervisors and co-supervisors
  3. quarterly meetings with another supervisor of the consortium

At least one secondment is made to the co-supervisor’s institute, and a supervision agreement is signed at the beginning of the project.

A mentorship programme is offered, where the student has access to an experienced scientist from a different field to serve as an external actor or advisor when needed. When no such programmes are in place at the tandem institutions, a mentor will be chosen within the consortium.

EPACE complies with the MSCA guidelines on supervision.
